Privacy Policy
Operated by Axo Technologies. Last updated: 10 September 2026
Axo Business Intelligence ("the platform") is a marketplace operated by Axo Technologies that connects customers with local businesses and verified service professionals, and job seekers with employers, through the axobi.in website, business storefronts on its subdomains, and the Axo Business Intelligence and Axo Expert mobile apps. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Information we collect
- Account details: your mobile number (verified via one-time password), name, and optional email - used to create and secure your account.
- Addresses and location: delivery addresses you save, and, with your permission, your device's location - used to show nearby stores and experts, deliver orders, and dispatch service professionals. Location is collected only while you use the app.
- Orders and bookings: what you buy and book, so sellers and professionals can fulfil it and you can see your history.
- Professional profiles: if you register as a service professional - your qualification, experience, portfolio photos/videos, and service area, shown to customers.
- Device tokens: a push-notification identifier so we can tell you about order, booking and job updates.
- Chat messages: conversations between customers, sellers, and professionals held on the platform.
Job seekers on Axo
This section applies when you use Axo Jobs: the job board, your job profile and CV, job applications, the Skill Arena and its voice interview.
What we collect
- Your job profile: headline, summary, work history, education, skills, languages, years of experience, current and expected salary, notice period, preferred job types and cities, and whether you are open to work. Your name, mobile number, email, city and photo come from your Axo account.
- Your CV: the file you upload (PDF or image). CV files are stored privately and are never public.
- What you tell the profile assistant: the text you type or speak to build your profile. When you speak, your browser's or phone's own speech service turns it into text.
- Applications: the jobs you apply to, your note to the employer, your match score and its reasons, and how each application moves through shortlisting, interviews, offers and joining.
- Skill Arena: the questions you were given, your answers and the time each took, scores, levels, ratings, certificates and head-to-head results. While a test runs we also record how often you leave the test page, to keep results fair.
- Pro voice interview: the written transcript of the interview, and its grade and feedback. We do not store the audio.
- Your network: the companies you follow and the skill endorsements businesses give you.
Who can see what
- Anyone, if your profile is public. Your profile is public only when you switch "Public profile" on. It then shows your name, photo (unless you hide it), headline, city, experience, work history, education, skills, languages, preferred jobs and cities, notice period, verified skill badges, and endorsements with the names of the businesses that gave them. Your phone number, email, CV and salary are never shown on it. Links you share on WhatsApp or LinkedIn preview your name, headline, city, skills and photo.
- The Skill Arena board. It shows your name and photo if your profile is public, and only your first initial if it is private, along with your rating and scores. Your city shows only when your profile is public.
- Certificate checks. Anyone holding a certificate's ID or QR code can confirm it: the name on it, the skill, level, score and date.
- Businesses you apply to see your full job profile, phone number, email and CV. They keep your details (name, phone, email, city, headline, experience, skills and expected salary) in their own candidate records on Axo to manage hiring, and a recruitment consultancy may share a shortlist with its client company, including your salary expectations, notice period and CV.
- Businesses searching for candidates. While you are open to work, businesses that use Axo's CV search can find you, even if your public profile is off. Before they pay to unlock your contact details they see your first initial, photo (unless hidden), headline, city, experience, salary figures, notice period, education and skills. After unlocking they see your phone number and CV, and may add you to their candidate records or to one of their job openings and contact you. Switch off "open to work" to stop appearing in searches.
- Job matching. Every day we match open-to-work profiles with openings. We tell you about jobs that fit you, and we tell businesses they have new matches without naming you until they unlock you.
- Companies you follow see only how many followers they have, never who you are.
- Head-to-head challenges show your first name and last initial to your opponent.
How we use AI
Axo uses Google's Gemini AI models, through Google's paid API, to:
- read the CV you upload and fill in your profile;
- turn what you tell the profile assistant into profile details;
- score how well you fit a job when you apply, and help businesses rank and screen candidates. For this we send your work details (headline, summary, skills, experience, education, city, notice period and salary figures), not your name or phone number, and the model is instructed not to consider gender, age, religion or caste;
- write fresh Skill Arena questions, which contain no personal data;
- run the Pro voice interview: your microphone audio goes directly from your device to Google for the live conversation, and Gemini grades the transcript.
AI scores and rankings help businesses decide; they never make a hiring decision. Businesses decide whom to contact, interview and hire.
Service providers for job seekers
Google (Gemini AI, Firebase login codes and notifications, maps), MSG91 (login codes by SMS), our email provider (login codes and interview reminders) and our hosting provider. Google may process data outside India.
How long we keep it
We keep your job profile, CV, applications and Skill Arena records while your account is open. Voice interview transcripts are kept for 12 months, after which only the grade remains. When you delete your account, we delete all of this within 30 days, and we also remove your details from the candidate records businesses keep on Axo, except where a business placed you in a job and must keep payroll or invoice records by law.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your job profile at any time, switch your public profile off, hide your photo, or switch off "open to work".
- Remove your CV or delete your job profile from your job profile page.
- Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, withdraw your consent (this stops further use; it does not undo what was already done), nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance.
- Write to our Grievance Officer at hello@axobi.in. We acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Who can use Axo Jobs
You must be 18 or older to create a job profile, take Skill Arena tests or apply for jobs.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
- We do not share your phone number between customers and service professionals; contact is revealed only after a booking is accepted, and only as needed to fulfil it.
- We do not read your payment card or UPI details - payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateway; we receive only a payment confirmation.
Service providers we rely on
Google Firebase (phone-number verification and push notifications), Google Maps Platform (address search and geocoding), Razorpay (payments), and our hosting providers. Each receives only the data needed for its function. Job seekers: see "Service providers for job seekers" above.
Retention and your rights
We keep your data while your account is active and as required for tax and legal records (for example, order invoices). You can access or correct your details in the app, and you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing hello@axobi.in from your registered contact; we honour verified requests within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.
Children
Axo Business Intelligence is not directed at children under 18. Accounts are for adults able to enter contracts.
